Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday 2024 falls on December 3rd, and like many other non-profits, Durham Outlook for the Needy (DOFN) relies on the kindness and generosity of donors to continue its mission of serving those in need in the community. In light of the growing challenges of poverty, homelessness, and food insecurity, your support is more important than ever before.

At DOFN, we believe that everyone deserves a warm meal and a welcoming space, especially during challenging times. With an increase in food prices, additional members of our community are experiencing food insecurity, and at DOFN, we have experienced that firsthand, with the number of meals served increasing from 41,000 to 48,000, just in the past year. Over the years, we have seen how a simple meal can transform someone’s day and even their outlook on life.

Throughout the month of December, every donation will be doubled up to $35K, thanks to the generosity of anonymous donors. This means your contribution will have an even greater impact, helping us serve more individuals in need.

Thanks to supporters like you, we can continue to serve those in-need in our community, offering not just food, but hope and dignity. Your generosity through “Giving Tuesday” will make a profound difference in the lives of individuals who need it most.
