Gord McKechnie

Director

Gord arrived in Oshawa via Montreal in 1977. He served with the Durham Regional Police Service as a Constable and retired as a Detective Sergeant and Incident Commander. He is married to his lifelong partner Susan and is father to 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

He has, in his 32 years of working with the community, researched and implemented many strategies pursuant to being a part of the community through Community Policing. As a member of the Board of Directors, Gord hopes to make a progressive and positive impact in the challenges that we face in our new facility and on an ongoing basis when dealing with our most vulnerable brother and sister citizens and their growing families. Gord brings to the table experience gained through working with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)      and Gate 316.
