I was introduced to volunteering at the Kitchen in 1999 by my late wife, Anna. At the time I didn’t have a particular calling to volunteer, but Anna did. There were times when she needed repairs done at the Kitchen and she would ask me to help! Shortly after, I agreed to help with the clean up on Wednesday s and before I knew it, I was on the Board of Directors. We all continue to contribute to Durham Outlook in different ways and for different reasons. Whatever your role and whatever the reasons that continue to bring you here, all I can say is a heartfelt THANK YOU for without your philanthropy, this amazing organization would not exist.
