There are several reasons why I would like to become a member of the Board of Directors for Durham Outlook; I have dedicated over two decades to civil service where I continue to assist and advocate for those who cannot and do not, have the means to do so for themselves.   My years of experience has given me valuable insight into the needs of vulnerable persons and what is required to implement effective infrastructure to assist them with day to day living.  I want to be involved in the decision-making process of Durham Outlook because this is where I will be able to make a tangible difference. I know how to access resources for persons in need along with having a solid understanding of how to navigate my way through government bureaucracy to get those needs met.  As a member of the Board I will be able to be a voice for those less fortunate   and to give back to my community, making it a better place for all.
