Cindy Freiman is a seasoned communications professional and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience helping businesses and organizations share their stories, strengthen their brands and build lasting connections. Her career has focused on developing strategies that drive growth, enhance reputation and create meaningful engagement, making her a trusted advisor to business owners and leaders across multiple industries.

Alongside her professional career, Cindy has a deep passion for giving back to her community. She has been actively involved with Durham Outlook for the Needy since 2024, serving as a volunteer coordinator overseeing meal service weekly, supporting fundraising efforts and volunteering her time to advance the organization’s mission. Joining the Board of Directors in 2025 was a natural extension of her commitment to helping DOFN expand its reach and impact.

Cindy also sponsors youth in the region through the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation’s Holiday Hope program. Other past initiatives include supporting the Make-a-Wish Rope for Hope campaign from 2015 until it ended in 2021, raising funds to grant wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses. Her community involvement also extends to governance, having served as a Director of the very first board for her former Oshawa condominium development.
